FedEx has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade seeking a refund for tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
This action follows a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that deemed these tariffs illegal. The lawsuit names U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), its commissioner Rodney Scott, and the United States of America as defendants.
FedEx is represented by the law firm Crowell & Moring, which is also handling similar cases for other companies. While FedEx is seeking a full refund of duties paid, the specific dollar amount of the refund sought has not been disclosed.
