WPP PLC has announced a significant multi-year strategic overhaul named "Elevate28" aimed at simplifying its structure and reviving organic growth.
This comes as the company reported a substantial fall in 2025 earnings, with revenue down 8.1% to GBP13.55 billion and headline operating profit down 23% to GBP1.32 billion. The advertising and marketing group is transitioning from a holding company to a "single company" model with four operating units across four regions.
To support this transformation, WPP plans to achieve GBP500 million in gross annualised cost savings by 2028 and has slashed its dividend to 15.0p per share for the full year, down from 39.4p. The company forecasts a continued decline in like-for-like revenue less pass-through costs in the first half of 2026, with an improving trend expected later in the year.
Shares have fallen significantly, and the company was relegated from the FTSE 100.
