Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid expressed ongoing concerns about inflation during a speech at the Economic Club of Colorado.
He stated that the Federal Reserve still has work to do on the inflation front, while noting that the employment situation is in a "pretty good place." Schmid, who dissented on the Federal Reserve's December rate cut, acknowledged that his decision was not made lightly but believes such dissent is healthy. He also commented on Kevin Warsh, a potential Fed chair nominee, describing him as bright and approachable based on conversations with other board members.
Schmid will not have a vote on policy this year.
